About Far West Optical

Our Mission Statement:

To provide the most complete vision care for our patients, giving them the best possible visual quality of life at home, work, school, and play while creating a positive and unforgettable experience.

Over the years, many doctors have developed a reputation for being hard to talk to, or for hurrying out of the examination room after an all-too-brief encounter! We have sometimes experienced this ourselves when we’re someone else’s patient, so we know how frustrating it can be. An accurate diagnosis depends on good listening skills, and taking the time to understand all of the issues a patient has with their vision. A large part of our mission is to listen to you as much as to talk to you. All of your questions and concerns are important to us and we endeavor to always answer all your questions during your visit.

DIRECTIONS

We are easy to reach from anywhere in North Austin: just take MOPAC to the Far West Blvd exit. We’re about 3/4 mile West of MOPAC (past Woodhollow, Village Center, and Hart Lane) in the middle of North West Hills, just beyond a short steep hill. You’ll find us facing Chimney Corners, across Far West Blvd from Doss Elementary School. Our street address is 3908 Far West Blvd. We are proud to have served our North West Hills neighbors for over 30 years!
